About me
I was born at the beginning of the eighties. I studied Computer Science and History at the University of Salzburg (Europe, Austria) from 2001 to 2008. In my final semester I taught my own class: “Modern Rhetorical Role Models”. Later on, I went to Hamburg to work as a Sales Engineer at a Consulting Firm in the automotive industry and as Junior-Online Marketing Manager at InnoGames a company in browser-based (and now also client-based) gaming. In the meantime I also worked on several internet projects. Finally, after about a year I left my final employer and started working full-time at my start-up which a fellow colleague and I founded: poker2share (german), which we discontinued in July 2010. In Fall 2010 I went to Ecuador for teaching at local schools until Spring 2011. I moved back to the lovely town of Salzburg to put an end to changing flats/towns/continents every 5 months within 2.5 years.
I resumed several internet projects and started doing limited freelancing besides studying law & economics at the University of Salzburg.
I am a big Heavy Metal fan, especially when it comes to live concerts. I like travelling, especially backpacking in South America (PerĂº, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile). I am also into photography (my gallery on deviantart.com), I am especially drawn to abandoned or malfunctioning buildings, which is probably one of the reasons why I like Fallout 3 and New Vegas so much.
For those fellow Austrian who pay close attention to academic titles, my full name including all titles is: Mag. phil. Dipl. Ing. Bernhard Kast Bakk. techn.
